So, I just got word from our manufacturing partner in China that there are some factory(ies) there are planning to knock-off our Street Fighter Preview figures. This is a good news in a sense that our Preview figures were so popular and so in demand that they are being knocked-off. But in reality, this is nothing but a bad news. SOTA was damaged greatly by the back-door issues during the previous administration, and that was the first thing I fixed when I steped up. The result was good, judging by the fact that it's been more than 6 months since the release of the Preview line and all the products out there are legitimately accounted for. (yes, we have ways to track and tell. And no, I won't tell you how we are doing it.)
Now they say that there's no way to stop the knock-offs; well, we'll just have to see about that. I know the Chinese legal system are still far from being perfect and efficient, but I have faith and I truly believe the Chinese government want to do things right as well. So, let's see how far I can go with this.
Now, for the Chinese Fans:
大家好！多谢各位忠诚Fans这几年对SOTA Toys的支持。街霸一直是我们引以为荣的一个系列，也是我们最重视，投入最多的一个系列。 这是因为基本上SOTA的每一个成员都是街霸的Fan。作为Fans，我们衷心地感激Capcom带给了我们一个伴随了我们将近20年的游戏。除了对Capcom说声“谢谢”以外，我们能做的就是从每一件街霸产品的利润中拿出Capcom应有的一部分作为对他们的支持和感谢。作为一个同样是从事创作的团体，我们更能理解一份经济上的支持对于这样一家公司的重要性。但令人气愤的是当我们发现市面上出现了街霸的“水货”时，我们意识到有一些厂家为了填肥自己的口袋而不顾任何责任的翻制我们的产品。这种行为之所以是违法的正是因为它与偷窃和抢劫在本质上是一样的。在每一件“水货”售出后SOTA，作为产品的开发者，和作为人物造型开发者的Capcom都不会得到应有的一份支持。然而到利润的是那些什么也没有做过，什么也没有投入过，只是为了赚钱的厂商。
我本人也是个生意人，所以我可以理解那种赚钱的欲望。但我所受的教育告诉我，在做生意前要先学会做人；而做人则要正直，要饮水思源。当我看到那些水货时，我感到痛心和可惜；痛心是我们精心设计的产品被这些无耻的商人随意模仿、贩卖，可惜是这些同行的商人在生意上只看到一个“利”字而忘了“义”字。
最近得到消息说有厂在中国大陆翻制街霸试行系列（Previews）的产品，我向广大街霸产品的爱好者和SOTA的支持者声明，我将会尽一切努力去扼制此事的。我相信中国执法机构的能力，相信法律的力量。同时我希望中国大陆的SOTA支持者可以协助我们，举报那些生产和贩卖翻版产品的公司和个人。
